Proud to be in his corner
Some sporting moments stay with a country. Duane Vermeulen helped give South Africa two of them.
BMG Motor Group is proud to sponsor the former Springbok No. 8 and double Rugby World Cup winner—a player whose career gave South Africans plenty to celebrate, and whose commitment to his team gives us every reason to be proud of this association.
For us, the connection starts with the qualities his rugby represented: resilience, responsibility and the determination to deliver when people are counting on you.
From the campaign
A career built on commitment
Vermeulen earned his first Springbok cap against Australia in Perth in 2012. His international career would span 76 Tests, including four appearances as captain, before his final match in the green and gold: South Africa’s victorious 2023 Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand.
Between those milestones came performances that secured his place in South African rugby history.
In 2019, he delivered a Player of the Match performance in the World Cup final against England. Four years later, he helped the Springboks retain the trophy in France, finishing his playing career as a back-to-back world champion.

Why this partnership matters to BMG
What makes Duane’s career meaningful to us is the contribution behind those achievements: taking responsibility, meeting difficult moments with resolve and working towards something bigger than individual recognition.
Those are qualities we want to carry into our own business.
Across BMG’s dealerships in Paarl and Worcester, our aim is to earn trust through the way we treat people and the care we bring to our work. Buying a vehicle, arranging finance or returning for a service all involve putting confidence in a team. We take that responsibility seriously.
Duane’s career offers a powerful example of what commitment to a team can achieve. Supporting him is an opportunity to celebrate that example—and the shared pride that South African sport can inspire.
We are delighted to welcome him into the BMG family.
Duane, we’re proud to be in your corner.
